Celebrating Easter Sunday is an Experience you’ll Never Forget
Easter is a traditional Holiday and special occasion each year in our Family. I could remember celebrating Easter in the past. My parents would hide brightly colorful eggs in the yard and send my sisters and me out on a Easter egg hunt. What joy we experienced running around the yard, expecting to find an Easter egg in every nook and cranny for the eggs we’d hand decorated together as a family. As I remember, whoever happened to find the most always received an extra treat, typically a dollar or two. That was a lot of money to us kids in those days. After the egg hunt, we’d have a dinner party together and then my parents would give each of us an Easter basket.
They made sure we had dinner first, knowing from past experiences that we would never touch our dinner if we were handed the baskets in advance. I could still remember the happiness we shared, consuming our chocolate bunnies, Easter eggs, jelly beans and playing with some small toys that came in the basket. I always loved digging through the plastic green “grass” the most. I’ve always image if I was to dig deep enough through the basket and found the final few treats which had fallen down to the bottom, it represented as if I discovered gold.
Nowadays, I experience just as much enjoyment from observing my children experiencing the same entertainment I had as a child. It’s fantastic to capt
ure the following generation relishing the traditions of the past that still continue to be so much part of our culture. Today, however, I give Easter gift baskets to my children, my sibling’s children, and close friends every year on Easter. They’re wonderful theme gift baskets for the kids and the adults of all ages who appreciate them as well, since like me; they think back the delight of getting a beautiful Easter basket. Easter gift baskets can be filled with delicious goodies that both children and adults could love.
I order plenty for my friends and family and my extended family as well since Easter gift baskets can be send anywhere. I discovered that they make a great gift for kids or for the kid in all of us. This year, I might even order one for myself. I may be older, but I’m still fascinated about the adorable gifts that come in each basket!
